By reducing or shifting your electric usage when the grid is in jeopardy, YOU will receive a new revenue stream for preventing blackouts. YOU are paid the same dollar per megawatt as a large power plant. This incentive payment is used to encourage you to reduce electric consumption when the grid is in jeopardy and lower power plant emissions. These new revenue streams encourage you to better manage energy expenditures and help you manage your energy costs. We currently operate in the largest energy markets throughout North America.

Wholesale electric prices in North America are directly linked to the fuel to produce electric and the congestion on the transmission lines. Since the majority of the new plants in the Northeast are fueled by natural gas, the volatility of natural gas prices has been reflected in electric prices. Many areas need upgraded transmission and distribution infrastructure to get power to the end user.

Since electricity cannot be stored in large quantities, excess generation always needs to be available. By being available to shift electric usage or reduce a portion of your electric usage a few times per year, YOU are a paid a new revenue stream.
